ECONOMY RABBIT NETTING
ECONOMY Rabbit Netting is a lightweight pre-galvanised hexagonal wire netting with a 31mm mesh aperture. The rabbit net is made form steel wire that is less than 19G / 1mm. The product is ideal were budgets are tight and a cost-effective or shorter lasting rabbit fence is required. ​
Our ECONOMY pre-galvanised rabbit netting is available in 1.05m x 50m rolls. We also supply 0.9m (3ft) and 0.6m (2ft) variations.
For a long-lasting fencing we would suggest upgrading to either our 19G / 1mm or 18G / 1.2mm rabbit netting in pre-galvanised finish. For professional contractors our 18G (1.2mm diameter wire) and 19G (1mm) premium HDG rabbit fencing is usually specified as it provides a much stronger fencing and will give many more years of protection due to the zinc coating.

​​​​Installation of rabbit netting is good practice to bury at least a 6" (150mm) in the ground 50mm deep with the mesh bent at a right angle in the direction of the where the rabbits would be. (Soil and turf can be installed above). This creates a impenetrable horizontal barrier below the surface which will stop the rabbits burrowing underneath the rabbit fence. Fixing to timber posts is the most common fencing method, with a tensioned fencing line wire installed at the top and the bottom where the rabbit netting is clipped to. The tensioned line wires at the top, bottom and middle of the fencing helps to keep the fencing taut and to avoid damage from people climbing over, animal damage and tree branch damage.​
