RABBIT NETTING - GALVANISED AFTER WEAVE - 18G & 19G
PREMIUM Rabbit Netting is galvanised after the netting has been woven to form the hexagonal 31mm aperture. The Hot-dip galvanised premium rabbit netting is the highest level of galvanisation as it encapsulates all the wires with a thick layer of zinc, ensuring longer life than standard rabbit fencing.

Our premium galvanised after-weave rabbit netting is available in 1.2mm, 1.1mm and 1.0mm diameter wires to BSEN 10218, all HDG hot-dip galvanised after to BSEN 10244-2 Class A.
For professional contractors our 18G (1.2mm diameter wire) premium HDG rabbit fencing is usually specified as it will give many more years life than thinner HDG rabbit netting, and many more years than the less-expensive STANDARD and pre-galvanised rolls. Our premium HDG galvanisation is also available on our 19G rolls.

The standard heights supplied is 1.05m and 1.2m rabbit netting rolls in our premium range.

Installation of rabbit netting is good practice to bury at least a 6" (150mm) in the ground 50mm deep with the mesh bent at a right angle in the direction of the where the rabbits would be. (Soil and turf can be installed above). This creates a impenetrable horizontal barrier below the surface which will stop the rabbits burrowing underneath the rabbit fence. Fixing to timber posts is the most common fencing method, with a tensioned fencing line wire installed at the top and the bottom where the rabbit netting is clipped to. The tensioned line wires at the top, bottom and middle of the fencing helps to keep the fencing taut and to avoid damage from people climbing over, animal damage and tree branch damage.​
HOT-DIP GALVANISED AFTER SPECIFICATION:
The longest lasting and best rust resistant galvanised treatment for 31mm hexagonal wire rabbit netting is where the netting is hot-dipped galvanised after the wires have been twisted to form the 31mm hexagonal wire mesh apertures. This galvanisation treatment encapsulates the twist / weave of the netting and provides a thicker galvanisation level = longer lasting.
