STANDARD RABBIT NETTING

RABBIT NETTING - PRE-GALVANISED 18G & 19G

STANDARD Rabbit Netting is pre-galvanised before the wire is twisted to form the 31mm apertures. Pre-Galvanised full weight / wire thickness rabbit netting from Mastermesh is a cost-effective alternative to the PREMIUM / PRIME Rabbit Netting.

Our Standard galvanised after-weave rabbit netting is available in 1.2mm, 1.1mm and 1.0mm diameter wires to BSEN 10218, all galvanised to BSEN 10244-2.
 

For a longer lasting fence, the better solution is the thicker 18G (1.2mm diameter wire). Our Standard pre-galvanisation is also available on our 19G (1mm wire) rolls.​ The standard heights supplied is 1.05m and 1.2m rabbit netting.​

A good installation of rabbit netting should include burying at least a 6" (150mm) in the ground 50mm deep with the mesh bent at a right angle on the side of the rabbits. (Soil and turf can be installed above). This creates an impenetrable horizontal barrier below the surface which will stop the rabbits burrowing underneath the rabbit fence. Fixing to timber posts is the most common fencing method, with a tensioned fencing line wire installed at the top and the bottom where the rabbit netting is clipped to. The tensioned line wires at the top, bottom and middle of the fencing helps to keep the fencing taut and to avoid damage from people climbing over, animal damage and tree branch damage.​
